Thanks.  The Generation 2 comic was all about sharp spikes and being armed to the teeth 😆

Awesome! I never saw G2 but this is like Sideswipe was given a makeover by Mad Max

Cheers Nick.  G2 had an awesome storyline and I always thought there was a bit of a Mad Max element to the feel of the art.

Very good job on this mate, plus you kind of nailed the Derek Yaniger vibe of G2 pretty well in the face.

Thanks mate.  Haha, I think it's the shading round his eyes, and maybe the Senior style nose that do it.

Awesome!  Well done!  I still love the G2 storyline even though it was very much a 90's marvel thing.  The needless deaths were a little of a pain in the butt to witness.  Suddenly seeing characters make an appearace then to suddenly bite the dust got somewhat predictable.  I had hoped the series would have continued and it sort of did with the return of the marvel transformers series in IDW.

Thanks.  G2 was one of my favourite storylines.  Although I definitely agree with you about all the unnecessary killing off of characters.  I did enjoy IDW's Regeneration 1 but would much rather have seen a direct continuation from the original G2 story.

Yes!  I was saddened that IDW decided to ignore the G2 storyline although they nodded at it with the G2 hot rod included in one issue.  One of those blink and you miss him deals.

At the time G2 was being produced I heard from one or two fans that they didn't think there would be more G2 but I thought the series had promise. Introducing the Wreckers in that universe might have been fun.  Even with no more transformers being produced the writers could still design their own or find new ways to resurrect the old ones.

The amount of death I think in part was due to the 86' Movie influence.  I think it was meant to give the audience an understanding that no character was safe.  Except maybe Grimlock, Prime, Starscream, Megatron, and/or Bumblebee

The last G2 issue I had was #12 and I wasn't able to get the issue #13 story until the G2 graphic novels came out.

A G2 Wreckers line up would've been pretty interesting.  Especially as the G2 cast were all a notch more violent than their G1 selves.

Yes, I agree about 86 having a killing off influence on the TF comics that followed it.  It was pretty evident in Marvel's UK run.

That is true, the G2 universe was a bit more violent.  The Wreckers would have been more willing to toe over the acceptable casualties line.  I think it would have been interesting to have a lineup consisting of Sunsteaker, Blades, Repugnus, Joyride, and Sprocket with Grimlock as leader.  Moral ambiguity being rather high in that group and it turns out Grimlock is the one who has to be the moral compass.

I recall one time finding old UK transformers comics in a comic shop and finding just how dark they were.  I recall Galvatron encountering a bunch of autobots and just slaughtering them, or Ultra Magnus adventures with Outback in a dark mirror TF universe.

My brother got a omnibus of a few collected issues and they have been a fun read.  The time travel series was rather good as well as the attempted take over of Autobot City by the Quintessons.

That Wreckers line up would be the Autobots equivalent to the Suicide Squad.  And Grimlock would have his hands full.

Haha, I remember all those UK stories that you've mentioned.  By far the best comic series ever, for me.

Sorry for the late reply.  I'm well behind with my DA messages.

Yeah, that would definitely be a suicide squad type Wreckers.  Almost need a new female transformer type to be Amanda Waller.

Yeah, the UK series was the best comic series.  Although when the American series started the Matrix quest there were some good issues there.  The issue with nods to Aliens was fun, as well as the issue that introduced Galvatron.  Though 'hook, line, and sinker' could have been better named.

No worries about the late reply.    I have been behind my messages myself and know the feeling.
