Description First and foremost, I must state that I did not draw this guy.  I found a small character sheet of his toy here www.yusha.net/dagwon/mechanic2… which I enlarged, cleaned up, then applied a photomanipulation technique to make it look like line art and then I applied a digital inking technique, before giving him some quick and dirty colours.

His character is based on an obscure character created by Simon Furman, whose only appearance is in Furman's novel Alignment.  If your not familiar with alignment, its a story that takes place between G2 and Beast Wars, and is definitely worth a read.

As for his design, he is based on Guard Tiger, a member of the Shadow Dagwon gestault team from Takara's Brave Command Dagwon series which is what replaced Transformers in Japan when the TF toy line ended.  For more info see here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_Co…

MTMTE page template has been supplied by Autobot-Windracer and can be found here autobot-windracer.deviantart.c…

I've sort of turned these profile pages into a kind of series. Here's all the other characters I've worked on hellbat.deviantart.com/gallery…

* Note * This team was originally named the Shadowcons, but was changed to Feralcons at the request of another artist who already using the Shadowcon name for her team of Decepticon OC's.

Excellent! He'd make a good Predacon (if Rampage ever retires)

Cheers Joe.  Predaking would never look right with a yellow arm.

Those poor Autobots, shafted again as the Decep's get yet another combiner team! In all seriousness though, it's an interesting group of bots that you are adapting here & I saw that it's a four robot combiner team which hasn't been used too often in Transformers. Good job!

Lol, its all good Paul, the Autobots somehow always manage to overcome the odds and emerge victorious in the end.

Thanks.  I've got toys as part of my TF collection and have always they'd make a great addition to the TF universe.

Nice job working his whole designs in and giving him a cross over MTMTE profile! Very interesting for his relationship with Soundwave.

It's cool to know you are familar with Brave/Yuusha, which I also am and starting to like and love more since it is such a really great series! Seeing you do this has inspired and motivated me more with character I'm designing, thank you Nav and great job on this!

Thanks JP, I'm glad it inspires you.  This character you're designing sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I've not actually watched any of the Brave/Yusha cartoons yet, but I've got Shadow Dagwon and Super Build Tiger in my TF collection, which are both really cool gestaults and I think they'd fit in nicely in TF universe.  I was also inspired to do this after reading the last issue of Regen 1.  I was a bit disappointed that the story didn't leave a way open for the G2/Alignment continuity to follow on from, so this also a sort of tribute to that continuity as well.

You're welcome Nav. Thanks, coming soon!

O ok then, yeah I remember now seeing them in your collection photo, very nice!
I understand now and sad to hear but its good you gained something out of it by approaching a new idea into the mix.
