Sunflower=========
The light inside
starts spilling out.
In blinding confusions of colour.
It's what I've longed for.
It's what I've dreamed of.
It's what I've prayed for,
for so long.
Happening in a way I never dreamed possible.
I've always feared the power of releasing.
Feared destruction in letting go.
But to flower
Opening slowly
Filling my world with light hidden,
for so long.
I never expected
To see a beautiful flower
instead of a broken shell.
I never expected
to shine
for more than a brilliant moment of agony.
I never expected
to gain so much
by giving it all away.
