Description
So today I decided to get around to fixing the sculpted base I'd made for my RX-78-2. Thing had got broken accidentally. However, that let to me tweaking the main model itself and I had to root through a tray of random parts to do so. Inside I found a black plastic disk, an intended basic base for some old scale metal tanks I'd bought for parts for my spaceship design. So I covered that with some of my grass and sand flock...and that was when this rambling story picked up ever so slightly.

I had a spare Blitz Gundam, since I needed the arm for my Gold Frame. But that left me with the rest of the kit uneeded. So I had the idea, why not a little scene based on Blitz's remains after it's much flashbacked defeat? Not sure how much of the body would have survived but I figured the head was worth a shot (and plus, the entire thing was too big for the base).

The big inspiration for this was one of the G Generation OPs, where we see a battered, moss covered Gundam head resting on a former battlefield. I built the basic Blitz head and then applied some light silver and silver red weathering. The head was then stuck on to the scenic base and some sand and flock applied. The grass flock was mostly used, with little bits of sand here and there.

I think this is an interesting piece. As you can see from my provided backstory, it's almost like the child of many of my older works shown at this site. It's also a fairly arty piece for me, a subdued scene rather than a dramatic battle or striking character. I think this will find a happy little home on top of my TV
