I think the depth of field is apparent here, made effective by the colours you chose for the lines. The blurring is hard to achieve without making it look too mechanical, maybe try experimenting with different layer masks with blurs/texture applied over the actual lines. Pretty cool overall though, I might suggest leaving more room around the the top or one of the sides, just so the creature isn't cropped from every edge. It does look rather dynamic though, I think it's just maybe an odd place to cut the strands of the tail or something. That's pretty nit-picky though--I realize. The blood looks really cool, especially the flying drips and I appreciate the muscle detail in the head as well as the overall foreshortening you achieved. <3
