I love your gawky dancer design, she is flowing with personality! you tell your character's story and show her personality better in a single image then most do with a full comic page.
I find that a lot of original female character ends up looking like the same blank slate sexy runway model with another hair style and eye color and wearing a different costume, it is rare for them not to lose their visual personality if you put them in a uniform, but your gawky dancer simply has character to spare
