Description
Since I only post finished work to DA, there are often long stretches when I submit nothing and appear to be dead. This is not the case! In addition to continuing to live, I also continue to draw, but many of the drawings are just sketches and assorted brain farts that never make it anywhere near the finished stage. Now that I have a Tumblr , I post a lot of unfinished work there. But in case you don't have a Tumblr, I have helpfully collected my half-formed brainchildren here for you to peruse. From top to bottom, left to right, they are:
1. Thumbnail sketch of some crazy alien woman holding a glowing fetus. (Apparently I draw insane things when I'm bored.)
2. In-progress pencils for the same! I'M TAKIN' THIS CRAZY TO THE FINISH LINE.
3. Some sort of a techno fairy Victorian woman, drawn after listening to Judas about eighty times in a row.
4. Idea for a picture based on Masque of the Red Death, one of my all-time favorite short stories.
5. Zekrom and Reshiram as pretty-boy leather-clad pinups. I vaguely remember the conversation that started this picture, but it really doesn't go very far toward explaining myself. Should get finished, since it's already in the finished pencil stage and waiting, patiently, to be inked.
6. A caveman attacking a rocketship, which is piloted by a mustachioed cat. This is what happens when I take requests from people during Livestream.
7. 's character Fareeda, leaping through a nebula with a pair of space cats. I LOVE drawing space stuff. I got to do a bunch of it for work--planets and star fields and nebulae and even a sun! I. love. space.

1,2,3 I want them finished. They are so beautiful just as sketches, I'd love to see them fully coloured.

I can definitely see the Lady Gaga influence in number 3. Looks pretty badass though.

Holy detail, Batman. Freakin' love the first one - hell, love 'em all! I hope the crazy glowing foetus gets some of the crazy detail-orientation.... >A>

That top right sketch, that little bit of detail you have going on, I would love to see that as a finished piece. Then again, I would love to see the below two from that picture also finished.
Nice sketch dump you got here.

How you draw lines so confidently in one stroke? Practice? TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!

Part of it is actually an optical illusion, since these images are smaller than the original--so a lot of the things that look like one stroke are actually a bunch of strokes. XD I can usually use one-strokiness when I'm sketching, since it's like BOLD DRAWING TIME. Then when I go back and ink, it's a million strokes to try to replicate the exact angle of the one swoopy one. SIGH.
ALSO my lines are always crazy wobbly in PS, so lots of times I ink in either Sai or Manga Studio because both of those programs have correction tools to compensate for my shaky, shaky hands. XD

After trying this technique multiple times after you explained it I can safely reply "OMG, Tell me about it!"

So I'm not the only one playing 'Judas' over and over? Awesome. Maybe I should go draw now, see what kind of crazy my brain comes up with...
The second to bottom one is cool, I love the dynamic feel to it, and the strange dichotomy of having what looks like a caveman about to crash a rocket. Absolutely fascinating~

I feel like if I "like" something of yours on Tumblr I have to also favorite it here because of how FUCKING AMAZING IT IS.
I'm interested in the picture of the Masque of the Red Death one, I hope you have plans on finishing it! Something about it is intriguing. I also really like the one of Fareeda and the space cats, it's quite adorable.

I reeeeeally want to finish the Red Death one--I've gathered a bunch of ref of Venetian masks and similar stuff so that I can vaguely try to make it look as ornate as it does in my head. Nnnngh I love that story so much. I also love the Roger Corman movie version, probably because it has Vincent Price.
