design commission for !!!

they wanted a crocodile dragon. I took some key design notes from monster hunter to get a feel for how they design larger reptiles, as well as looking at some snapping turtles.

it has a gharial snout with a huge primitive back tail, not unlike the flippers on some old world whales. its eyesight was never great to begin with but over countless hunts its eyes were damaged and it's now blind. it also has several scars on its hindlegs - possibly from hunts or from boating accidents.

it's often covered in algae to camouflage itself while hiding. there have been many times humans mistake it for a large rock, only to find they're looking at a small portion of its body. legends say it's over fifty feet long.
