Description
It is snowing again, tiny little flakes this time with a total different structure then the ones I had the other day, fascinating how each is different.
Enjoy

They are fascinating like that; I'd love to know the reason why there are so many variations but imagine some of must have to do with general and local atmospherics too. Lovely shot!

That's a pretty flake. I find there's always a bit of a different style too. And sometimes there's just the rare good one, other times, like today, just about all of them are good, and I have to keep going until it gets dark (or I have to do something else)!
By the way, have you seen [link] ? I think that's what inspired me to try it originally... but very indirectly, it just put the idea that it was possible in my head, and then I tried it much later. Anyway, it's quite an interesting site.

I love that all of the other flakes are sort of blended together, but that one single solitary perfect one stands out as it hangs by a thread...amazing.

I'd love to hear the story on how this shot was acquired. to get the right focus, it seems to me you'd have to be bundled up tight, tripoded, etc.

It was taken with a tripod that is correct and it was very cold and snowing I used a macro lens and that is it I guess
