This is the crop that's in my 2005 Photography Calendar of this shot .I love this one a whole lot more, I've also done a redo on the colours and colour balance, and I think it looks a lot better. What's really creepy is when you're looking at a 60% view of the shot and then you zoom into 100%, the eyes seem to change, I dunno, it seems like they open more.

Nice DoF the tigers expression is not a very common one. It's like when my cat barley opens his mouth to yawn but can't.

Fantastic photo! Were you just a little nervous looking into those eyes as you took it?
I would be...as peaceful as deer seem, I was once quite surprised at the power "up close" and missed the shot completely.
