TUMBLR - TWITTERFinally got something done
now that school is over i took my time to get some more practice in Photoshop
This is Da Ji from the Warriors Orochi series
i know that Da Ji was also known in Chinese history
but this is how Koei depicted her so this is fan art to that depiction
in any case
sketched, inked, colored and finished in Photoshop CS3
I kinda used a tutorial to make the clouds
i say kinda because i tweaked it a little bit

Da Ji's C4 move was so broken in WO2 (especially the EX version of it)
in WO Da Ji's C1 was lulzy too

Ohhhh yeah, but then again many of the Other2 characters were pretty broken (Look at Bullet Hell Himiko and Cloud Surfer Sun Wukong). The first WO had both Da Ji and Orochi as the last two characters you unlocked then the second goes and has two of the most overpowered characters already unlocked. I still feel as though Koei should have had the Orochi Campaign as an unlockable once you complete the other Campaigns. Anyways, It's much more satisfying when you work to unlock her.
I always enjoy watching her combos, she essentially ice skates on solid ground. I also liked her new alternate costume and the added one in Z/PSP
(By the way, great Avi... I really hope TimeSplitters 4 will come out someday.)

yeah and in WO2 the last character you get (Shin Orochi aka Orochi X) isn't even that good
and yes i hope TimeSplitters 4 will be made before i die lol

you should not do fanart of things too much, so try to make an fox demon drawing youll need to: draw a tail 4 starters maybe a unique style...
fox ears,or bunny ears,or something.
a origonal clothes.
and a unique character.

umm this is fan art
i'm not going to draw something entirely different because this is just fan art of someone else's design, if you don't like the design then take it up with Koei (though i do agree that Koei didn't do a good job making Da Ji look like fox demon)
but if i wanted to depict my version of a fox demon i would have done something different from this, of course.
i do fan art to learn a few things and experiment around, i haven't done many original ideas yet because i'm saving those for when my skills have improved
i've seen people with all these wonderful ideas but without the skills to execute them correctly and that's what i'm trying to stay away from, i have to learn to use the tools first and i feel that fan art is a great place to do so.

a good thing i do is i draw drawins that i made up.
practice drawing completely different things, and redo the pic again after 6 months, or longer.

i'm more comfortable doing it my way for now
but i will make more original art in the future that's for sure

Warriors Orochi 2 shouldn't be too hard to find
i've seen some stores still have them
but the first Warriors Orochi could be a problem
unless you want it used or you can just get it online
