Myu~ just as a question~ This ish supposed to be my first opening page of "Ten no Otoshigo" (original manga) and for some reason the blood on the hand above looks very...... fake T^T ish the color wrong? Or maybe teh way its streaking across the fingers? Or...? wah.. T^T It's not suppose to be bloody in the palm (has to do with storyline~) but just blood sliding down the hand but~~~.. I'm very bad with blood su it doesn't look very convincing >w Can someone give me tips on blood maybe? ;w; *cling*~/edit/ teh hand looksh like its floating~ *shall fix that* omg I've already found some mistakes by posting XD! *proud* *is shot*
Oh~ in the english text version you can't tell, but the 'angel' is actually written as 'earth's child' (instead of "heaven's child") in the Japanese version~ *adds random* just to add mystery~ 8D *is shot some more*

I like the overall idea of the composition. I would be very interested in seeing the manga (especially since the publishing company I'm in contact with may be considering a manga/comic imprint per my suggestion). As many people have mentioned, the blood does lack in the reality department, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It needs to have a bit of shine and as someone did mention, blood doesn't have much substance...it is sticky, but not overly thick, yet not as thin as something like water. If you don't have stage blood on hand (although it sometimes is a bit too thin or thick...) you can also use light corn oil (although a bit thick too)...drizzle it on your own hand and notice how it moves, drips, and the shiny nature. I've used corn oil (although slightly thinned and coloured) for FX before when doing haunted house crap. Just some thoughts...sometimes it's better to see something close to the real thing (unless you have access to the real thing) to observe how it looks for drawing. Take all of this with a bag of salt...because I'm no artist.

Hm~ I can't say for sure if the hand is for a girl (meaning the top hand is reaching for the girl's hand on teh bottom?) but they're rather androgymous and no classification of gender~ so I guess its up to the reader to choose ^o^~

Wow... thats really impressive. I really need to start my manga. I've been working on the storyline and characters for about four years, but i still haven't started.

Sweet bloodiness mercy on that hand XDXD I'm not that fond of blood, but just as few others ssay..add a few depth by adding lighter spots and darker spots on some area. i think it looks fake is cause the blood looks kinda stringy. blood isnt really stringy i guess, its more solid looking...hmmm. *shrugs* i like the hands and stuff, neat idea

There's no "mass" to the blood. I'm particularly familiar with blood (don't ask), and I can tell ya it's got thickness to it. Not a whole lot, but if you were to raise it a just a smidge. And a bit o' shine. That might help, too.

The blood on the hand look sorta flat because it look sorta like it was just painted on the hand, maybe it would help if there was droplet or clumps of already dried blood somewhere.

I suggest adding a shine on some parts of the blood to make it more realistic
