oh thanks i've been waiting for this!
i have a few question:
1) what kind of brush are you using? the normal brush use for painting or the spray brush?
2) can i use this method to make other base too?(looking at your tutorial makes me want to custom some nice base for my nendoroids)

1) I used normal brush , ah...  my translation was bad I wrote "aerograph" instead or "airbrush". I've an airbrush  but I wanted to do the painting not too smooth to suit with the figure, but I think it would be easier to paint with an airbrush or spray brush...
2) Yes of course you can use this method for any base... and for nendoroid it'll be more simple, no problem of weight like the elf...

hum maybe it could works too ... but the figure is heavy so I didn't want to take the risk ....  but yes, maybe you can try to cover directly the base, except I recommend you Milliput and not fimo because you can't put the cone or the lib in oven
