He doesn't haha
He works part time at the Poke'mon Centre and Pokemon don't seem to like him
So after some crazy events, he ends up with a Minccino Which he thinks is pretty unmanly haha and A 'special' Onix that has personal space and thinking difficulties (he dropped it as an egg.....)
