An, erm.... Okay, I'm out. What is it?

Two people somehow managed to identify it exactly as my camera's lens cover. I thought it was harder than that... I need to find a more ambiguous macro shot... and then no one will ever know what it is!

You could always steal the macro ideas from that cheeky Dove commercial (or some company like that): they had closeup shots of skin that looked suspiciously like a buttcrack, but then they zoom out and it just turns out to be a kneeling leg. Naughty!

Maybe try and find something that looks a lot like something else when you get up close? Like food, or fabric? Also try shooting from a dramatically different angle or perspective; that tends to make things more difficult to recognize.

That's great advice, thanks bunches!

Haha, I've probably seen that commercial, and others like it, too.
There's one from the makers of Head On for arthritis, and you can't even tell what appendage they're applying the product to... it's really disturbing!

DJ-Smexy In reply to HelloSamurai [2007-12-01 06:12:39 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha.. Appendage. Dirty!

Speaking of disturbing, you know who creeps me out? Billy Mays, the infomercial guy. He starts the commercial literally yelling about his product, and just gets louder from there, when it seems humanly impossible. He defies the laws of sound, and logic. And makes me really not want to buy his stuff.

BUT DON'T YOU WANT TO BUY A WHOPPING SIX POUND TUB OF OXI-CLEAN???!!

DJ-Smexy In reply to HelloSamurai [2007-12-01 06:33:52 +0000 UTC]

AND THEN MY LAUNDRY SHALL BE SPOTLESS! But alas, no. I have a dark past, that not even Oxi-Cleanยฎ can make spotless...

Oh man, I used to read a comic called Slackerz, which has sadly since changed artists several times, that used to bust Billy Mays jokes left and right, and they were hilarious. I can't for the life of me find the original website, but I saved some of them, so I can send them to you if you like

That'd be awesome. Hmm... I'm kinda cautious about giving out my email address, though.

S'allright, I understand That's why I wish I could find the original URL for you! The new site is [link] , but I don't think they have the old comics archived, and the Billy Mays ones are oooooold. Like when I still believed in the Easter Bunny old Good luck finding them!

I see Thanks though. I've given my email to two people, but at the advice of my mother, I'm holding back now. (No, I haven't gotten any viruses yet)

DJ-Smexy In reply to HelloSamurai [2007-12-01 06:55:00 +0000 UTC]

Hahah, viruses, I thought you were worried about creepy old stalker men! I guess you have to worry about both, really!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

HelloSamurai In reply to DJ-Smexy [2007-12-01 06:58:51 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, both. It's sometimes easier to lose stalkers than viruses, though.
Sometimes. I guess.

Nope. Heehee. At least not everyone knows what it is. That would be rather insulting.

HelloSamurai In reply to SirFiNiX [2007-11-27 01:20:58 +0000 UTC]

No, sorry, it's a toaster.

I kid! I kid!

Why youuuuuuu...!!! Did I tell you that in conversation, or something? Is that just a guess? Cuz it is my lens cover. DARN!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SirFiNiX In reply to HelloSamurai [2007-11-27 01:52:47 +0000 UTC]

It's the right shape, and I recognized the locking mechanism that keeps it attached to the lens.
