Description I don't even see myself
in your words anymore

but somehow I can
still be your disease
taking life from
what should breathe

I don't even see how
he could let me touch him

the wind tries to
lay me out flat
in the wreckage
of my efforts;

but what I can see
I wish I couldn't

an ex-lover caught
in the arms of another
still believing a leech
could have continued
to bring something
good

even as I see that
bitter anger
seething in the wound
I've left for you

the wound I can see
healing over in hate
in her kiss
in her arms

congratulations kid, you're
finally letting me hate you

and even I can see
that's not a lie

I'd like to hear this as a spoken word. It's got a vigor in the narrator's voice that I particularly enjoy with this one.

I'm the same, letting your feelings take over your art is a good way to take away some weigh from your shoulders.
