Yeah. Sometimes I can't understand people and their decisions. Letting places, historical monuments, buildings, and factorial masterpieces rot and collapse - or even destroy them on purpose and let the grass grow instead - is insanity :/.
Some years ago in the city I lived during my time at the university the city counsil decided, that the birthplace of a famous poet is not wanted, and they destroyed it(neglecting the will of the people) keeping only the front (a wall with blank windows) of it. And what did they do with the parcel? Sold it to some guys who opened it for parking lot... They did not cover it with concrete or something. You can park your car on the grass covered ground.
