Description At the end of january, I'll be LARPing on a new Dutch event; De Kentering (The Turning Point). The organisation is making a concerted effort to make it 'authenticool'; there's no Fantasy other than it's a fictional setting and they've asked NPCs and players alike to make their outfits be inspired by Game of Thrones and others.

In my eyes, that means grungy, dank and dark costumes. This is the first prop I've made for my (or my colleague's) NPC costume. It's something I dubbed a 'belt book', inspired by Warhammer art. It was an old Bible in Welsh, modified and strengthened so that it can be hung on a belt. Perhaps not entirely "historically correct", but practical (enough) for LARP and as far as I'm concerned, it looks pretty cool!
