Last Rogue Trader session we met our first Space Marine face to face; Tacius Moi. Through an (for me) unexpected turn of events, this Space Marine became part of the retinue of the illustrious Rogue Trader Haakon . Although he's a NPC, he's still a member of the crew and so I decided not to let an opportunity pass to visualize a iconic piece of "40K-ness": a Space Marine.

So, without further ado, introducing, in 3D form: Sergeant Tacius Moi, a Space Marine of the Iron Snakes Chapter! Approved by the storyteller

I feel pretty proud of him. For the longest time, making a proper Space Marine in DAZ|Studio felt like one of those things that was hard to get right. But now I was 'forced' to find a solution and what I ended up with, does feel just right to me. The base figure is DAZ's (old) Freak figure, with Kudai Infantry armour, added upon with Space Marine specific props from the Space Marine for Apollo Maximus. Added to that, were my own textures and some bits and bobs from the various props I've collected over the years for the Frag grenades, Power Spear and Combat Shield.
