To make it look better, you should have the lines on the side of the machine parallel to the sides of the photograph...you might need to retake it to get that...stand back and zoom.

look around your house...there is plenty of stuff to take photos of...try plants and stuff...look or stuff that just looks wierd...and then you'll come up with something
