hmmm, if you don't mind writing a little more (and I know you love writing XD ), that would be nice. Sometimes I have to read the story (or more XD) twice to make sure I understand, but I'm sure it's just my poor English :/

To be honest, all that writing barely brought me feedback. Most of the time only the artists gave me a reply or a thank you. Something like you do. An yet a small amount do. So many hours I feel now have been wasted somehow. I get what, roughly 15 to 25 views per day or around 30-35 on good days? My summary brought me a bit more, though. This is still disappointing. I know I shouldn't base myself on the number of viewers, but it is rewarding and motivating. I'm on DA. People check artworks, not writing. I thought about putting them on fanfics websites, but they are too short and based on drawings. And mostly dialog-based which they refuse.
So, if you do, you could make comics instead. That would catch more attention.

I understand you very well, I'm a photographer (intermediate, still need practice) and I have a second DA account and sometimes I submit my images there but they barely get any attention since there are hundreds of other photographers that post over a dozen pictures a day, how the hay am I supposed to get noticed when the chance that someone will view MY image is one in a million! (Currently my hobby art gets more attention than my passion/future profession XD)
I'm really not sure how to help you. Maybe try adding an image or two to your stories... Images attract the eye. Just like you write stories on other people's works. Look, I'm opening requests now (I promised my watchers I'm gonna do that in early January

Nah. Don't feel the need to help me. It's okay. Deviantart is a image-based server. People come here for images, not text. I can't escape that. I skip long texts myself. The best I can is raising my level of writing and submitting on Fimfiction. I have an account, mind you. Writing an actual fanfic would attract readers. On DA, it would be comics. However, there are hundred of MLP comics here, but not as much as fanfics there are on fimfiction. And that's why I don't want to write one. I don't see the interest. Actually there are already too much of them. Mostly are purely writers fantasies. And headcanons. Most of them get the AN (alternate universe) tag after each episode. Wasting my time in vain? Nope. In short, that's why I keep my scribble format and keep close to canon. Not always mind you. To a limit.
You see, at the beginnning I was writing the stories and submitted them on my account. My latest deviantions are that way. Despite no images, people could favorite them and I put a link for the image I was basing myself on. However, even if I was keeping the same name as the drawings themselves, it was not drawing much attention. So, I came with the idea of the weekly updates in my Journal with the actual images to attract attention. It worked. Except, people can't favorite them. That's the biggest drawback. That's why I ask people if there were some stories they would be able to favorite. Alas, none did so far.
I think three persons actually asked me to make a comic based on a story I wrote. I never saw a single of them. Really. But I will keep in mind your offer. Remember this: I base myself on a drawing. Since basically the idea came from the artist, we would need to asked its permission and would have to be credited as well. BTW, if you need or are yourself interested into illustrating a story I wrote, just ask me. Still the comic idea is attractive.

I know you said you don't need help, but maybe just some advice? There are many fantastic writers on DA too, maybe try asking them to give you some advise? They surely have a lot more experience than me... dunno...

The last one I read "Double or Nothin (MLP Mane6 short story) " was really good and funny!
