so to me it was like you were not only talking of large numbers, but also being amazed at a large amount of casualties... (you kinda achieved a satirical tone, or a backward euphemism...i'm not sure if that's a good way for me to explain, but that was the interpretation!)

I think i'm particularly stunned at how effective the pun you've created with the use of the word "figures" becomes as you read on.....this is brilliant and simplistic, which is exactly what you need with these kind of themes... i have this film clip playing in my mind throughout it.... and that doesnt happen often when i read something for the first time.
