Tojo is what one might call "smart but slow". He is generally friendly, gentle even, and enjoys being around people. However, he is not as rambunctious as other foals. This is because he is busy observing. And for a while now, he has observed that treats come from clothing- more specifically, pockets in clothing. After musing over this fact for a while, Tojo came to a conclusion: pockets are magic portals. Therefore, if he "borrows" an article of clothing for a while, sooner or later the portal will activate and spit out something tasty. All he has to do is keep an eye on it, and make sure his troublesome friends don't catch him in the act. Not because he's selfish or conniving, oh no, once the portal produces enough treats he'll happily share them. But the others just don't understand the virtue of patience.

Is it just me, or does using a ref massively alter my style o.O I feel like it's incredibly obvious when a ref has been involved in the process That's one of the reasons I love seeing people's refless work, to me it's the fullest expression of their own personal style. It does, however, make things go 45234823 times faster... seeing as this show ends Saturday and I have way too much schoolwork to really even be drawing anything right now, not having to think much about posing and anatomy allows me to still enter. So yeah, a bit quick, but Tojo needed some love and this was a good excuse to draw him.

I wish I could just... mail my traditional stuff to show hosts ;_; Scanner eats color, details (especially shading and contrasts like that), and makes it all icky and grainy. I may go back to taking photos of stuff and uploading that, but I have to wait for the sun to return first... artificial light is not flattering, but Sweden is like permanently blanketed in clouds

Anyway. I like Tojo. I like all my foals. I just never get around to drawing them. Might just age them all soon, because all my planned foal pics never seem to happen, and thus nothing ever happens with the kids ;_;
