Description
This was a shot on the first day of the tarmac rally I was competing in. Targa Wrest Point. The guy in the distance with the race suit tired around his waste is my uncle. He was driving and I was navigator. We were an hour behind after the first stage with a stuck accelerator pedal that we had to fix mid stage.
This shot was not posed at all. I was just messing around, killing time.
C&C Welcome, Cheers

It was a fun weekend. When I was service crew we used to do week only events.

I did 2 layers. One with the car in full colour and one with reduced saturation and then cut around the car. With a bit of burning around the top and bottom corner.

It's not the first time a 2002 has been mistaken for an e21.
There is a hell of a lot fo work in that e30 model. Nice work mate.

The car is beautiful mate, truly jealous... I'm trying to get my hands on a e21 with a straight body for my project, but certain factors keep delaying the initial purchase

I've had 2 e21s. A 323i with an e30 323i motor, i ran out of space and had to get rid of it fast. Shame it was a nice car. That was an '81, I also had a '77 320i and this is how it left my house (don't cry to much) [link] Don't feel to bad, I put a screw driver though the fire wall, well there really wasn't a fire wall but the sound deadening left with nothing in the middle.

Big fan of e21's, just I have lack of space to have one sitting there and waiting for $$ to work on it, moved house into a place without a garage, I don't think having half a car lying under a carport would be such a great idea... But it will happen, matter of time

If i ever move house i need a 2 car garage minimum. One half for the tools and the other for the 1602. I'm thinking if i do another BMW it will have an e24.

Bloody nice ride mate, it's really nice to see how far it's come. Saw pictures of it when you first got it, and I have to admit... it's brilliant. Sorry that your rally didn't go so well, but hey, there's always next year. It's definitely not a car you see every day.

This isn't the little blue one, the blue car used to be spares for this one! The blue car should be on the road this year *crosses fingers*
When we first started doing rallies we were one of 5 or 6 2002 now there is only 2 left. Our car has been rallying for 14 or 15 years now. This my well be it's last with us for a lot of reasons.

Oh, damn dude, sorry. I guess I got them mixed up, heh.
It's kinda sad to see another 2002 bite it; do you mind expanding on what exactly happened? Or is it a 'don't ask don't tell' situation?

It's not getting parted out or anything. Just moving on to a new home. I'd like to keep it but I've got to many cars already (4) and only one undercover space to park one. This car would need to undercover and my blue 1602 needs the garage more.

Nice car. Ever think of running in the "Targa Newfoundland"? I've seen it on Speed Channel and it's a hoot to watch. Great racing.

Might be a bit far as I live in Australia! hahaha It looks to be the same kinda thing that this car runs in.

I've watched the "Targa Newfoundland" and I've seen a few Aussies who made the trip to run in it.

They must have more then the shoe string budget that we run on. Mine you I'd put a roll cage in my daily driver and drive in a Targa event. They are mad fun.

I would imagine so. The airfare alone is pretty steep. I'd love to at least attend a targa as a spectator.

Spectating rallies is not as much fun as it sounds (depending on where you spectate). I like being in the service crew as you can get into the places were all the cars are stored over night as you can get a better look at them.
