Found this poor little guy flapping about on the ground whilst walking through a car park, he had these huge ticks all over him.Managed to get rid of them all and release him again!

Looks like the chimney swift I once rescued from a cat. Let it rest in a shoe box for a while, got it a drink, and let it go . . . .
I think this little one probably made it home safe and had lots of stories to tell its friends!

Many wild swifts carry massive ticks, poor things

I set him up on a reasonably high perch which he then managed to swoop down and back into the sky, hopefully he managed to feed and regain his strength!
Indeed, their migratory paths are often riddled with danger

The bird is called a "swift".
