Description
Have this thing with trams - especially at night they are like a big chinese lantern sailing around in the dark..Came to think of Miyasaki who has trams in some of his movies when I made this one - somehow they seem a little bit out of this world in a nice way..Some of my other interpretations of the tram theme : Watercolor, W&N, Hahnenmuhle paper, 24*36 cmRelated content

I do love trams (and steam engines of all sizes)... Last ones I rode were in Oslo - don't remember being on one when I lived in DK...

Oh, You’ve lived in Denmark? We had trams in Århus ( my hometown) and Copenhagen some 40-50 years ago, but they are long gone..
this one is from Soller, Mallorca, and still going strong..

I lived in Copenhagen back in the early 1980's - and worked in the Danish sector of the North Sea for a year during the "hook-up" of the Tyra field...
I still have a friend there (close to Holte) whom I visit every few years... I have also lived in Oslo and regularly visited Finland as well as a few short stay-overs in Gothenburg...
My colouring is fairly "Nordic" although I am most at home here in Portugal

Thank s for the kind comment! I’ve recently given some thoughts as to what makes a motif worthwhile painting - and my conclusion is that’ s the mood that eventually attracts..one thing is the technical issues, perspective, values, etc, but if the mood is caught, my day is done..
