I like the palette, the volumes, the depth. Really charming!

Thanks! Appreciate your comment, especially when coming from a skilled painter of landscapes and scenery.. No rusty old boats in this one, but it was indeed a Lovely day by the small creek..In Denmark everything is tiny, so, we dont have rivers, only creeks..

Creeks are sometimes more attractive than rivers... The foam, the light on the water are so...figurative! A compliment, from me. I totally ignore the abstract art...
Thank you for the flattering comment! I remain passionately admirative of your rusty boats...

Hi Dominik, and thanks! No, not really..I went to this protected area after work the day before yesteday and did a very preliminary sketch on location, and took some photos..
Had the day off Yesterday and did the painting at home..
The place (Tustrup, Nørre Djurs) is one of my favorites, and I’ve long been wanting to paint some of the scenery..In ancient times it was a sacred place for the “funnel beaker culture”, there are some impressive stone toombs ( like mini Stonehenge ), and especially at dusk or dawn when the mist is present, you need little imagination to sense the presence of the ancestors..

oh great Henrik.... did you paint that plein-air?
I like how you managed to paint the warm lit bed of the creek and the transition to the part of the watersurface where the skyreflections are taking overhand... well observed!
cheers
