I decided to re-design and start fresh on my site at henerzdesigns.com, I will be using a new custom theme that has been solely designed and coded by myself. I hope to finish this theme shortly with it ready and fully functional for wordpress.Related content

My tip would be not use to many different fonts
I see like 6-7 different ones

Thanks for the feedback, although I intended to use this on my custom site as no one else will feel the need to change them as it will only be used as me therefore I don't need to use the fonts when it comes to coding, I can simply slice the image and place it through css.

General rule of thumb is not to use more than 3 different fonts on one page. It get's kinda hard to scan with the eyes.

The design looks nice! I would space the elements in the white area vertically a bit further apart.
I don't really like your navigation. I would make them stand out a little bit more or if that doesn't work, do it the old fashion way. (one after the other in the blue/grey bar next to the ribbon)
I have the feeling the visitors have to think to much to understand that it is a navigation. (a good book on that topic is Don't make me Think! By Steve Krug)

I'm glad you've pointed out the fact that the navigation is "different" to the "normal" way. Which is how I intended, I wanted to make it different than everyone else's. I wanted to make it creative, to make people enjoy browsing the site. I felt including small things such as the navigation placement, adds a bit of uniqueness, which helps your visitors remember your site more than any of the rest. Also the navigation items do light up once hovered over, which makes it even more interesting than just a list of items. However I do understand many people do not like fun and creative things, but I also remembered the main purpose of my job as a designer is to be fun and creative and to somehow bring something unique to the design community.
