Over time, places, objects and people are instilled with magic by those desperate to encapsulate their happiness inside something indestructible. But there will come a time when the magic ebbs—for it always does—and nostalgia begins. That favourite room will be but an empty, dusty space; that wonderful book will turn to an old pile of leather and paper; and that person you loved so dearly will become nothing more than a familiar face trapped within the film of a photograph. There is only one place where that magic lasts forever, and that is the human mind. Preserve it.
