So this is a piece done for an idea I had that would be a really cute animated film. It's set in a small irish fishing town in the early 1800's; a young girl named Saoirse (pronounced SER-sha) is playing along the shore when she sees a little seal caught in a fisherman's net. She cuts it free, and it swims away. The seal, however, is no ordinary seal: he is a selkie. He returns in his human form, calling himself Adair, and they become unlikely friends.
This is a scene when he takes her into his ocean with him and they dance underwater.

Oh! I read a story with selkie once! It was rather sad actually :/ This couple was sad about not having a child and the husband was out fishing and found the selkie and brought it home to the wife..I don't remember what happened next, but I think the selkie ended up dying...
