Ok let me just get this out of the way, yes, season 1 isn't that good. It relies on butt/fart jokes and grossout humor, and it isn’t even used cleverly. While on its own, the season is just ok since most of the episodes are just average, this season clearly had problems. However… SEASONS 2 AND 3 ARE A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT! After the first season, the writers realized that focusing on grossout and fart jokes isn’t good so instead we now get more emotional moments, creativity, and jokes that are actually really funny! Sanjay and his friends are more likeable because to me they are really relatable plus they get character development throughout the series. All the background characters are memorable and funny too, some of my favorites are Leslie Noodman, Remington Tufflips, and Sanjay’s Dad.

So yeah, even if the first season somewhat sucked, this show is still pretty good because of the many heartwarming moments, fun plots, and the funny and likeable characters. I definitely recommend watching a couple episodes from seasons 2 and 3, you will at least agree with me that it’s an improvement. Overall this show is GOOD and a underrated gem, I may come back rewatching episodes every now and then (NOT FROM SEASON 1).
