...yeah, what DID Happen To Whatever Happened To Robot Jones? Seems like it got cancelled out of nowhere despite having decent ratings at the time. Anyway, I watched this show and man… it had so much potential. A show about a robot with actual emotions trying to live and try things that humans do sounds like such a great idea, but in execution this show falls flat… oh well at least we have my life as a teenage robot lul.

So lets get to the main reason why this show kinda sucks… its predictable. Episodes like Electric Boogaloo and Growth Spurts make me fall asleep because I can predict literally every single thing that happens in these episodes. This show uses plots that have been done plenty of times (hell, parents is my favorite episode and even then that one still uses a cliche plot. The reason why this episode was so good was because of the comedy which was surprisingly pretty good) but this isn’t all the time as there are a few episodes like The Yogmans Strike Back which is a really great one, it was really interesting but most importantly… UNPREDICTABLE. If this episode was the average quality of this series then robot jones would have had the chance to be alright. The characters in this show are also not very special (you know it’s sad when the most GOOD consistent character is a janitor) with most of them being pretty generic and one note.

But is the show really THAT bad? Well….. Not necessarily. The music/soundtrack in this series is actually really solid (in fact its SO good that the music that plays throughout Jealousy saved that episode from being hideous) and the animation while being painfully average most of the time, is actually really nice when Robot Jones is on a rampage. And while I did say that this show is predictable and have overdone plots, there are a few episodes that actually execute the plot well enough such as Embarrassment… which was a pretty entertaining episode and added enough things to make this cliche story not that tiring. Other redeeming qualities… uuuhhhh….. I like the robot designs??? Ok I’m out of ideas. Overall this show is WEAK, its mostly whitenoise outside of some episodes like Rules of Dating which was sooooooooo bad.
