Description This is a picture depicting Eirreleth and the creation of most common anthropoids. In actuality, this happened over a span of many years, not all at once like shown in the illustration.

‘As Eirreleth, sullen daughter of our great forefather, ascended above the earth, her wondrous presence seeped into the land, and brought life into a new stage of evolution. All around, blessed creatures began to morph and mutate into a similar, unnatural form. This form is what we now refer to as Anthropoidal, or Humanoid…’

This was an excerpt taken from a holy tome written by a worshipper of Eirreleth, and it is interesting to note how much it glorifies her and the creation of anthropoids. In reality, this whole process was a lot less fantastical and was just messy and tedious. What’s more, it was merely just a passing thought to Eirreleth, and our creation is more so akin to an accident rather than anything else. As Humans we like to think that we are special, and that the concept of humanoid form belongs to us, when really we are just a product of it. There was nothing special about our creation, it was just a result of the force of nature. Eirreleth, like most of the universe, is really just indifferent about us. Realisations like this are often what drive people mad when delving into arcane matters, but some are able to accept this, and realise that, just because we are ultimately insignificant, does not mean we shouldn’t live our lives to the fullest. The fact that we exist at all is not something that should just be wasted.
