Raaah ! Painting is so fun !I realize now that working on technique wasn't wasted time ^^
Anyway...
Red Lorns are the first living form on Voolonad. They were supposed to protect the world 'til its real birth, and they did well... but something wrong happened ! And that will be the topic of another chara design or illustration

This is super awesome!! I absolutely love everything about this deadly beast!! I gotta question. I'm writing this story that have some beast in it, but I can't draw that well.. So I was wondering if I give you a discription would you mind drawing it? You can change some things on it to make it look badass if you wish! Oh please oh please! Hehe, that's something like that ^^
But actually, it took some years of reflexion ^^ The first version was a sort of mix between Alien (the one by HR Giger)and Starship Troopers arachnids. It evolved, but looked like a monster too much to be seen as a protector. So I changed it a little to come to this : )
I didn't throw away the original so that they are now antagonistic^^.

Haven't commented on your stuff in a while, but I love the direction you're taking your recent works.
Details Details Details.
It transforms your work from artistic paint strokes to creatures that come alive on the canvas. You're exploring textures (skin) and differentiating between that and other textures like steel. BTW, you're ability to paint steel/metal/hardSurfaces is amazing! I've yet to find someone who understands the light reflection on it better. Beautiful.

I finally have reached a level where I can say I'm proud of what I do. But don't worry, I keep seeing all my mistakes and weak points, so I won't stop improving before a while

Most people take years, but you accomplish it in a matter of weeks.
You should be proud. It has reached a point where it is basically art that could be shown in a magazine or on a video game cover.

Video game art tends to be a little smoother than your norm; but other than that you've got it down.
Maybe you're applying to the wrong game makers? Some indie games might be more open.

Actually, it's been a while I didn't apply to video games studio. I'm waiting to get a little more experienced... Think I'll come back to that in the late summer.
