Today I wonderedwhy the weather is freezing my bones
and pouring from the sky
in the middle of the dry season?
And I thought this conceited thing like
maybe
the Earth heard my dream last night
about the girl from home
and it gave me a
piece of my home like a blanket
or a bear hug from that
beauty I miss
her so.
I thought about why she didn't
answer me on chat
when I told her hello and
I miss you,
what's up?
I thought about slaps to the face
because she was online
and that's a little pet-peeve of mine
I wanted to tell her that yeah I'm doing okay
and that I wish I was home
because I feel like I've been far from you too long
but oh,
hell,
you know that already
and she'd say
that's okay
I already told you that I'm here
but
I don't even know you that well
and once in a while it breaks my heart
a little
and I take of my shoes and walk the rest of the day with bare toes
but then today I remembered
it's raining in the hot season
and I don't want ringworm
after learning about skin disease in health class
And that's why sometimes
I just kind of wish that I was a hobbit.
