Did you know? Gojira comes from the Japanese word for whale (kojira γ―γΈγ©) and the Japanese translation of gorilla (gorira γ΄γͺγ©), making it Gojira. It's original design was officially confirmed to look like a human like dinosaur. It's English name is most likely due to people thinking Gojira was the Japanese trying to say Godzilla due to a stereotype where the Japanese pronounce L's as R's like R's and R's like L's
