Jolly good times

The1920's was the era of happiness and prosperity for many countries, being known as the roaring twenties or golden age twenties. The world had just seen the end of world war I, and many countries experienced an economic and industrial boom. There was a rich variety of cultural and social trends, like jazz music, flappers and art deco.

Automobiles, radio, telephones and household electricity became more widely used by the general public, instead of just being for a select few like in the 1910's. Movies also saw a huge rise in popularity, with many people aspiring to become actors and actresses. Women recieved more freedom during this time aswell, with less restrictive clothing, and the passing of women's suffrage in many countries allowed women to vote for the very first time.

However, this golden era came to an abrupt end in 1929, with the Wall Street Crash. The world was once again headed towards more depressing times.
