Description
For those who don't know, Fast Forward is the 6th season of the new Ninja Turtles cartoon series in which the awesome foursome and thier sensei Splinter are accidentally whisked off to the future. In the future our heroes meet the great grandson of Casey and April - 'Cody Jones'. 13 year old Cody is the hier to O'Neil Tech - a Waynecorp style company that is yet to be founded in the present day by Casey, April and Donatello.
Think Batman Beyond crossed with TMNT with a sprinkle of Futurama and you have Fast Forward!
I've been wanting to draw the futuristic TMNT for a while. These newer Turtles who are kitted out for their stay in the year 2107 are just right for looks. Some futuristic kit has been added to the Turtles' arsenal but not too much clutter and the balance is just right. It is like drawing regular TMNT with slight robotic bits to them giving each Turtle slightly more individuality rather than being near repaints of each other.
I've got drawings of Raph, Don and Mikey on the go. I've just finished Leo as you can see.

I haven't been into Turtles since the TMHT show way way back when in the UK. That was kinda' cheesy with the banning of the words ninja and nunchuk action. I mean, kids will pick up on the sheer violent acts themselves, not what you call them. Besides, Splinter is clearly a ninja.
Anyway, I got into the new TMNT show because my Husband here (Ken/Hero) showed it to me. Hopes were low...but instantly rose as i was addicted and have now watched around 100 episodes and still going strong!
If anyone likes animation and that sort of plotline (ninjas, screw jobs, clan vs clan etc) then you'll love this. It gets really dark late in season four.

I love it! Seems so old-skool (90s TMNT) That sword looks awesome.

Is that new season on Fox right now? Because if it is, it just might convince me to get up early on Saturdays again.

We are not getting this series in the UK until next winter. That's why I acquired the figures and episodes already.

That's cool. I used to watch the original 80s/90s TMNT when I was a kid... the series and I were born in thr same year, lol.
I heard that series over in the UK had to be called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles back then because they thought "ninja" was too violent. I can understand abhorrence to violence, but sheesh! I assume now it's okay to say "ninja" on TV over there.

Certainly true about the 'Hero' Turtles thing. Any scene that involved Michaelangelo using a nunchacku was also butchered out of the episodes and films.
