Up in the Hebra mountains, Link and Zelda find a nice clearing to build a snowman, armed with the tools necessary to defend the mountains from Ganon's forces. Link even painted a symbol on the makeshift shield and gave him the most powerful weapon in his arsenal: the legendary Soup Ladle.

I got both the Link and Zelda models from . I wasn't really sure what to do for this year's holiday scene, but I liked the idea of Link and Zelda building a snowman together. I know it's not the most original idea, but I wanted to do my own version of it. I also really liked the idea of Link painting something on the pot lid shield, I thought it was a fun little touch and wasn't to tricky to figure out how to do. Plus I love Zelda's winter outfit design and this scene gave me a good excuse to use that version of her. I had her adding the hat, which is the finishing touch to every snowman.

I had to make the design for the shield in Photoshop, so I had to learn how to add the paint drips effect onto it. Other than that, it was pretty simple, especially since I wanted to make it look really simplistic. Link's no artist, but he seems proud of his work nonetheless. Otherwise, I adjusted the lighting significantly to make it brighter. I initially rendered it snowy and overcast, but it was too dull looking for what was supposed to be a happy scene.
