Back to the Legend of Zelda for this one, it's Midna. This one was actually done as a gift for a friend who is a huge fan of Midna. I drew this based on this image .

To start, lets talk about that helmet. Oh my God, that was a lot of detail. Between all the engraved designs and the cracks then trying to shade over all of it, that helmet was might be the most complex thing I've drawn (or it might be someone else I drew who wears a metal suit). Anyway, as for the rest of her, the challenge was getting in the details using only shading. I didn't want to use a lot of hard lines because it would make her look too cartoony. It also makes it difficult because some of her skin is so dark that the shading is very subtle. Regardless it was a lot of fun to draw her, helmet and all.
