Description
I keep telling myself to draw Green Arrow...or Captain America....but at the same time I'm like I haven't drawn a single girl!! Body shapes terrify me so I tried something simple, I don't think it turned out too bad.Comments always welcome!

It didn't turn out bad at all, indeed.
Very cute design.

And the original artist of the pic you're working from is?

Thats a very good question! It's in the back of a JSA graphic novel of mine, I'll find it out and let you know!

Oh, I wasn't asking you to tell ME who the original artist is; I was recommending you post it in your description of the piece.
DevArt and similar forums are very relaxed about our working from other people's art *IF* we credit the original artists up front, or even post a link to the original in our description.
The big-name artists get so much publicity it's hard to remember sometimes that they're as real as we are. They're just people, with hopes and fears and birthday cake and skinned knees and the time they said something really stupid and the time they laughed so hard with their best friend that they spilled their Pepsi. The best comics artist I ever met at an sf convention had a painful stutter, and I was incredibly complimented when he fought his way through several hard sentences to tell me he liked the way I used small-printed fabric for my doll clothes instead of the big blobby stuff, and centered the fabric design on the bodices and sleeves.
If we don't credit the artists whose work we use, it's not only illegal; it's mean. Unfair to some really neat, creative people who are giving us such amazing work. Imagine how you'd feel if you found out somebody had borrowed your best work and seemed to be pretending it was his own?
So we try to give credit where we can.
(Um. Sorry to be preachy, neh?)

The artist who drew a sketch of Stargirl is Dale Eaglesham, and I really didn't think it was illegal if you looked at someones art and then re-created it, gave it your own style and made it your own. Heck, that makes my whole gallery illegal then.
I appreciate the advice but if I were to try and research the artist for every peice of art that gave me a bit of inspiration, heck I'd have no time to draw

I think the shadows below her arms are very eye-appealing to me. I really don't know why. lmao

Haha I see what you mean! I drew this from a pencil sketch so made up the shading myself xD

Hehe thanks! I found some Stargirl artwork in the back of a JSA graphic novel of mine and this was one of them, it looked too cute not to draw!
