Description
A giant steam-powered robot assembled from train parts. Ya!I had so much fun with Steampunk Lincoln I had to put together another one. This is pulled straight from my sketchbook, but I figured the sketchiness would add to the aged effect. The sketch was from a steampunk series concept I was working up called The NEW Old West.
I wish I could take credit for the cool background but I pulled it from
Ink sketch, color in Photoshop.

Everything about this is splendid. It looks to me as if someone grabbed their schematic book and sketched this on the spot.

Yes. Β There is a script for a Steampunk Lincoln comic, and then story ideas for a Steampunk Americana comic beyond that. Β It's just a matter of finding the extra time to draw it...

Now imagine Vin Diesel okay? See him? Good. Now think of Vin Diesel's raspy voice.

I do props and costumes and would love to make a suit based on this design for personal use.

I have supposed that there would need to be some sort of specialized/invented fuel source for steampunk tech to even be workable.

I'm working on a novel about the legendary Joe Magarac ([link] ), a sorta Steampunk Steelworker from Pittsburgh, and Big Sir is prettymuch *exactly* how I picture ol' Joe!

Have you read "Iron West"? You gotta read that comic book. Its awesome art and steam punk in the west(There is no Will Smith in it). Its done by the guy who created Earth Worm Jim.

No I haven't but much thanks for the recommendation. Sounds right up my alley. Is it a new book then or an older one?

Cool! I'll definitely look for it. There's not really a lot of steampunk out there to choose from.

Thanks. It was actually a sketch in my notebook that I just dressed up in Photoshop so that's why it has the sketchy style.

Thanks. This was a sketch but I was pretty happy with it. I tried redrawing it on larger paper and it just didn't look the same. So I just scanned in the sketch and cleaned it up a little.
