Amazing depiction of the swell of the wave. Has great movement. One can almost feel the motion. A tremendously successsful work.

ooooooooooooooooo i love it!!! it actually looks exactly like the view from the point at my camp. i absolutely love the green on the top of the wave. the only criticism i could have is that the three mountains with the trees on top in the background look alittle too uniform. Im thinking maybe some dark edges on one of them. make it a little less round.

Thank you very much!!!! About mountains - I was afraid to put more details because I wanted to show perspective, that they are far, actually. Before I was critisized for lack of depth. So, this time I tried to make them look far! Tried to see how light changes in long distance subjects. Still is not easy for me!!! I alwaus ask myself - HOW far it should looks?

yeah i totally understand, im working on that too. i think your did well in making them look far away. but i still think that there should be a cast of shadow or some small random rocks or something. i love it though!

I love this!! Im trying to teach myself to paint, and the hardest thing to do is water[for me at least] I can never get it to look this real....sigh

I like realism personally (I like other styles too), but once I heard one opinion that nobody actually need it because it is not art but only copy of reality... I was so upset and mad!!! Even they laugh at me and say:" Ha-ha! DO YOU FEEL SOME INSPIRATION JUST COPING THINGS!!! HA-ha-ha!!! I was mad and I am still mad when I remember that!!!

Thats crap....I think ti be able to reproduce the beauty of nature is an incredible gift, and you really captured the look of water. Water is so mobile, and moving water so ever changing with the light , it takes real talent to capture that.

Everything from the clouds, the trees, rocks, and the waves are just lovely. But your choice of too much orange green color for the wave crest made me think it was a...mountain in the distance, perhaps some blue will make it look more like water

I think I saw such color in the nature... Water can be very different... I just couldn't help it - I liked this green...

Wow, what a gorgeous piece! Your blending technique is quite good and flows very easily. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the green peak of the water looks like it could be a green mountain and coming down into the rocks looks like part of the rocky ridge coming down. The trees up on the coast remind me of shoreline in Oregon. Finally, I think the whispy, billowy clouds are just great. I've been trying to get those down, but end up with not so much cumulus clouds.

Thank you very much! I wanted to make that wave looking like coming down on me almost I could see through - that why I made water green...
