Description Tyrannosaurus Rex mating pair walking through Hell Creek 66 million years ago.
"Tyrannosaurus Rex 2" is a new model coming to Daz3D this fall.

The king of tyrants returns with feathers, age and sex variations, higher resolution detail, more accurate anatomy, and more!

Adult male and female variations include different anatomy shape and scale adjustments, different feather displays, and different skin colors. The juvenile comes with even more distinct anatomy changes along with its own feathers and skin color. Adjust the scale of the juvenile to make it feel more like a adolescent or hatchling.

You can customize the look of your Rex by adding or removing feather groups to fit the look you want.

A saliva attachment is also included that fits to any of the variations to help their mouths look gnarly and realistic giving your renders that extra edge of detail. 18 poses are included to help you dive right in to rendering.

Tyrannosaurus Rex 2 was created using multiple UV maps for higher resolution detail on close up renders. Surface material groups include Body, Head, Legs, Eyes, Mouth, Teeth, and Claws.

Both Iray and 3Delight material presets included!

I know it's scientifically accurate, but seeing dinosaurs with feathers just feels wrong to me. I mean... They're vicious monsters from the past, they shouldn't look pettable.

They weren't monsters. They were animals.

Monsters are just especially vicious and dangerous animals. I mean, I used to call my beloved childhood cat a monster, because he was twice the size of all the other cats around and spent most of his waking hours killing small animals for snacks.

But still smaller than most dogs.
Is an animal.

Pettable? Do you know how horrifying an 18 ft tall bird would be? Birds are already jerks, I don't very much like the idea of one as tall as a house with steak knives for teeth.

I kinda agree with you there, since a red kite nearly took my head off last year. Dived at me, talons extended, full killing dive, narrowly missed me while I was doing 70 on a motorbike.

I like to look at them as gigantic grizzly bears, they can be soft and cuddly... but more than likely they will tear you apart. Could you imagine how silly a bear would look with out fur? But if we first saw them without fur, we would probably think adding fur to them would be funny and cute.
