The only thing I could suggest is to fiddle with the colours to make the eye colour pop out a little stronger

Just a little more Maybe up the green levels in the eye; you can use a mouse or pen tool in photoshop to colourize the eye a little as well
Or maybe even just up the contrast level... that would help make the eye stronger without retouching the colour
