Description
For day 9 of EQD's Training Ground round 2 thingi, I did a Transformer-ish piece. I planned on doing some follow up sketches about the image and well, today's theme seemed like an excuse to do this now. It's funny in a way, only last night I was thinking about this some more and came to the idea of using a Lyra Plushie in my head cannon... thingi, in my head.
Before ya ask, is it that certain plushie I'm talking about? I'll just leave that up to you to decide!

Wow dude, I've seen a couple transforming MLP characters, but I don't think anyone actually went into detail with the transformation like you have here.

Just a thought. but what kind of tech is in this plushy that allows such a small object to become such a huge mech? black hole physics? pocket dimensions? please elaborate.

Hmmm.
Mirrors?! Cartoon logic? Magic? Black hole physics or pocket dimensions are really good explainations actually lol, I like those.
What I had in my head was that the Plushie transformation, which is (possibly) the smallest thing that it could transform into, would be formed by lots of things folding into each other, stuff like that. Hollow bones, so to speak?
To give examples, the main example/idea/inspiration I had behind this was the Cube in the first Michael Bay Transformers film. The way it's HUGE-tastic, but after Bumblebee touches it it shrinks down into a much smaller shape.
Thinking on it a little more. Megatron's Pistol transformation and Soundwave's microcassette deck transformation from the Transformers cartoon, the Generation 1 one, are other examples.
*Phew*
That was a long reply!

well. in that case I hope the metal is some kind of unobtainium or something. being huge and brittle is not good for the pilots heath XD
