Originally I wanted to do Lyra holding a futuristic gun or something. In the end, I couldn't settle on a pose (pony anatomy doesn't lend itself very well to human poses in my opinion and experience) so I went with Lyra designing a hand.Day 11 of 30.

Is it wired to her nervous system? and if so what are the leg movements or whatever that help her use it? if it just used her ankle then she would have very limited dexterity with it.
However if it used her shoulder she would have a lot more mobility. More movement options a joint has the more options for how you can wire it IE move her shoulder a little forward and the thumb moves, move her shoulder forward and a little down and the thumb and pointer moves and so on.Β

Yeah, originally I figured it would be wired into her nervous system or something similar. I really had a bunch of thoughts about how it could work. Perhaps some sort of artificial or virtual intelligence? Maybe powered by magic to atleast some degree? I even thought to myself that maybe it is powered by friendship, or love, or her sense of duty behind whatever reason it is she is building this hand for?
In the end, I don't know. Maybe Lyra doesn't know either, and she is experimenting to see what works the best?
(This whole conversation was similiar to my thought process for thinking up the title, heh.)
