very nice work!
I really like your color choise ,and how soft you made them. The line work is great because it too is soft and minimal (like the nose) ,....not strong and overpowering (like many do).
While it is true that it is easier to color useing the select tool with connected lines ,(like I do mostly) ,this style is soooooo much more subtle and pleasing to the eye.
Doing a manga/comic in this style would be cool ,....coloring an anime's thousands of frames in this style would be a very difficult chore!

Thanks! The colour choice actually came from my jumper - I have one that looks a lot like that, so I thought I should draw it.
I use the lasso tool and then go over the shadows and lighting with my tablet - It makes everything so nice and soft - it's bloody brilliant!!
I'm considering making a kind of graphic novel sort of thing - like a manga but with coloured pages.
