Religion/Spiritual Beliefs: N/A

Military Rank: Soldier, often at the front lines
Age: Old. Really Old. Old as balls.
Height: 6'
Eye Color: yellow-orange
Skin color: umber-green head plating, then deep blue flesh fading into pale green.
Behavior description:
Like most protheans, he believes himself superior to all others, and does not bother with being polite to other species unless it would benefit him in some way. Though he often gets frustrated with the fact that this cycle did not evolve as well as his own, he is very curious about it. Lyut often teases him about it, "Oh I'll teach you everything you want to know so long as you touch me in the right places."
Verin is impatient, extremely impatient, often expecting others to be more than they are or do more than they can. When they don't, he doesn't hide his frustration, and will usually violently push the person out of the way to do things himself.
Though he's almost always on his high horse, he will always admit when someone is better than himself, with great honesty. Usually he will attempt to bring himself up to surpass that someone right after, but even if he does, he will hold great respect for them. Only when one gains that type of respect from Verin, will he open himself up to friendship.
Verin holds a nearly endless supply of hope. Having been an avatar of inspiration in battle back in his own cycle, he does not stand for hopelessness within any of his allies. He is powerful in his words, knowing precisely what to say when things seem impossible.
He has great respect for friendships and relationships, as breaking such things in his cycle was punishable by death. He will never backstab or cheat, and will always be (brutally) honest. But if you backstab him or cheat, he will do all he can in his power to make you pay.
His fighting style relies heavily on his allies to do what he cannot. While fighting with Fyrus and Lyut, he is at the font, holding up barriers while the other two combat enemies. Verin will only stray from his post when it's of utmost importance, or when they are being overwhelmed by close-range enemies.
Advantages:
Though most protheans are very skilled in nearly all forms of biotics, Verin has focused all of his biotic abilities into barriers. He can make barriers of almost any shape, and often will form them to his body for added protection. His specialty is using these barriers in hand to hand combat. He will constrict them around his hands and feet, so that when he punches or kicks something, it's like being hit by metal. These barriers however, are barely tougher than normal biotic barriers.
Verin is all about not losing hope, and is very powerful with his words when motivating others to continue fighting.
He is an extremely valuable friend and lover, who would never let you down. However, it takes a lot for him to see someone as a friend.
Disadvantages:
He's generally not easy to get along with. There has to be something about you than he can find respect in for him to even consider being nice.
Though he's strong in his barriers, once they deplete, he's very vulnerable. As a Vanguard, he can use Nova to ward off anything too close, and then use his shotgun for anything still surviving, but then he can be easily picked off with ranged weapons.
He is very unfamiliar with the current cycle's social formalities and slang, which can make conversations with him confusing and awkward. He will also often touch people in order to gain information about them, usually not being very secretive about it, only furthering the awkwardness and confusion.
Bio:
Verin was part of the last generation of protheans, his life consumed by the Metacon War. He was trained in agility, hand-to-hand combat, shotguns, and especially, biotic barriers. Although most protheans were trained in all forms of biotics, he was trained to focus all of his power into his barriers, and is extremely skilled in using them. He can form barriers of almost any shape, and expand them to much larger than normal. He can also constrict them to specific parts of his body for protection or for impact power. He was usually at the front lines, keeping other soldiers behind his barriers and only breaking them when being overwhelmed by close-ranged enemies. In which case, he would constrict his barriers to his hands and feet to throw brutal blows at enemies, solid as metal.
When things were at their worst, Verin was hauled off to the moon Kopis to secure his own stasis pod, however he fought against scientist's pleas for him to go. He wanted to continue fighting, convinced that there was something they could do to overcome the Reapers. He violently fought against leaving the battle, but eventually the scientists sedated him long enough to get him into his stasis pod.
It would be over 50,000 years later when a turian and a drell would discovered him. He emerged angry and determined for battle, only to realize that the fight had been lost. Ridden with wrath and depression, he would leave with Fyrus and Lyut, having no where else to go. He would quickly gain respect for Fyrus, especially with the turian's constant offerings of any information questioned about. This would help him adapt quicker, but still have confusion on the normalities of this cycle's society.
Though Verin's respect for Fyrus would come quickly, it would take much longer for him to gain any sort of respect for Lyut. He finds it quite difficult to find respect in someone trying to get into his pants constantly, the drell going on about "Well I've never had sex with a prothean before!" Only when Verin was able to see Lyut's skill in battle did he gain some respect for the drell, opening up to friendship.
Verin also doesn't always agree with the duo's means of "doing what's right." Of course in his cycle, breaking the law under any circumstance was punishable by death, and he's forced into doing such with the vigilantes. He longs to be back in the military, serving his purpose in life, but he knows just how unrealistic it would be for him to do that in the current cycle. So he stays with the only two people he can trust, doing what he can.
Interesting Facts:
In his time, he was an avatar of inspiration in battle.
Verin eventually did open himself up to an intimate relationship with the duo, first going to Fyrus, before having Lyut join as well.
