Description
I love designing business cards! These are some self-promotional ones for when I'm in a "Sanrio Punk Rock" sort of mood.Related content

What did you use to make these? A template? Normal paper?

Just realized that if you had to have stacks of these cards to give out it would take you ages to cut out with your Xacto knife! Did you? I love it. Kudos on an amazing design. How did you do your words? Typing and printing or hand done?

Just wanted to know, what type of paper did you use? Is it like a glossy type of cardstock?

These are great, did it cost much to get your own shape like that?

those are just comps that i cut by hand, i never actually got them made. a custom die cut would be very, very expensive.

Designed beautifully. Second coolest business cards I've ever seen, right after the ones with a little seed in them that you can nurture and grow right inside of the card. This really makes me want to get off my ass and design some for myself. I haven't had business cards since early High School.

I wish they carried the same sway in American society that they do in Asian ones. Business cards are, like, the THING to have. I feel bad knowing I have none, in fact. I will fix this.

I think they definitely have a big impact in the many categories of the design industry. I definitely am a snooty business card person. "Oh man they used COURIER. they must kick puppies."

"Oh, he's a freelance artist and sex-meister-forhire! See, look at his snazzy business card", they will say.
I'm sketching up concepts for mine as we speak. Any suggestions on what cardstock to use??

not really...just be inventive! i'm a fan of found stock....like cutting up and recycling old materials, you know! i remember stefan sagmeister designed business cards for a woman who said "they can't cost me more than a dollar a piece." so his solution was to fold up dollar bills in perfect business-card size and hand-stamp her information on them. i think he said something along the lines of, "it was unique and made an impression on potential clients AND they could buy coffee with it!"
....or see if there's a paper store in your area and comb their shelves for goodies... and by "comb their shelves," i mean "dig through their dumpster at 3 a.m."

Well, it won't be the first time I've gone dumpster diving, and it definitely won't be the last.
I'm thinking something textured. Little bumps, or something, but I'm not sure.
